Apparently fundie kiddos preach on the internet.

My daughter likes to read the forum at a website for kids that will remain unnamed. I've read it, too, and it's mostly silly stuff, nothing objectionable. The kids posting are ages 9-13. My daughter doesn't post there, just reads.

Anyway, she found a thread in which a 12 year old girl is telling other kids if they don't believe in Jesus, they'll go to hell. Religion as a topic is forbidden at this particular website (it's just a fun, game-based site, and they don't allow discussion of ANY controversial topic, no politics, nothing inappropriate for kids, no religion, nothing).

The thread was hilarious. FIVE pages long. The 12 year old gets points for perseverance. Other kids were saying they don't believe in God and she was flipping out saying "I don't want you to go to hell!!!" and the atheist kids were laughing, saying it might be fun etc. Kids certainly do get right to the point, I'll give them that. Here's a quote:

"I don't believe in God or Jesus."

Another kid: "What about the devil?"

"Him either."

So finally a kid who had said about 14 times "discussing religion is against the rules here" decided to alert on it and the 12 year old had her posting privileges revoked.

Jeez, this stuff goes on even where you least expect it.
