IMO most people wouldn't consider that their pet concern, not that it isn't important.

Sometimes you have to keep posting these things--news, updates, etc. You may find you can generate interest but it may take some time.

Mine is the UN and our mistreatment of it. I know I've bored oldtimers to tears on the subject, but I've also educated some people.

I posted what I thought was a very insightful and timely thread offering a possible explanation for our demise. I can understand if someone disagreed with it, but I wouldn't have known. It did not get one post. I didn't even bother to kick it. Then all the crap about fraud started appearing and I disappeared from the serious forums. The only serious forum I post in now is the Mental Health Support group. I'll get back into it sooner or later, but for right now I'm giving it a rest.

A fews months ago Sparosnare complained about exactly the same thing-- a post she thought was important languished off onto page 20 and then into archive limbo. And the post where she complained got twice as many replies as the original one. I've seen some of my "important" posts sink like a stone, and if you go to the last page of a forum first, you'll see lots of good posts with one or two replies ready to slip off into oblivion.

Happens all the time. Go figure.

Sone people do get lots of replies about almost anything-- there are a few posters seem to have "fans" who will read and reply to anything they post. Some subjects just get replied to no matter who posts them-- they seem to strike a nerve around here.

Venezuela? Personally, I read it and think it's important, but I really didn't have anything worthwhile to add to it.
