Is there an alternative pdf. reader to Adobe Acrobat out there? Preferably freeware, but I'll take any reccomendations; thanks!

is included with KDE and Gnome desktop environments as an integrated component.
GSview may work for you on Windows (if you do Windows). GSview would require an installation of Ghostscript. I have no idea how well Gsview works for pdfs nor advice on the installation of it or its dependencies on Windows.

I've also been looking for an alternative to acrobat. It takes forever to load and always freezes up my computer. :eyes:
