Satellite Radio FINALLY!
For Mothers Day/23rd Anniversary my husband gave me a new sound system for my truck. I had been whining since my CD player broke last October. It came satellite ready, sooooo I added the money and bought it. HEAVEN! For the first time in my long life I actually listened to talk radio that was not RW. I knew if I waited for Air America to come to Kansas I would be dead before it actually happened. Where have I been? This is amazing! The very best part? Broadway Show tune Channel. OMG I am in heaven. I think tonight I may sleep in my truck. :bounce:

1. XM or Sirius?
I have Sirius and, despite losing AAR to XM, I still love it! Especially the Sirius Disorder, Underground Garage and Alt Nation music channels.

3. When is AAR going off Sirius?
I thought it was May 1 but I am still getting AAR.

4. I really really
wanted Sirius. My husbands system is set up for XM only so there was a little pressure there. I went with XM for that reason and because of Air America (I'll bet Sirius fills that spot up with cool stuff though) and because they had this deal that if I send in my proof of purchase I get a mobile unit for free.

2. Way cool, Muse
I got mine as an anniversary gift last year. I absolutely love it. Do you have XM or Sirius?

7. See above for that answer.
I can't believe how many pages of instructions came with this system. I will never figure that out. I tried for a hour to figure out how to set the clock and still have not figured out how to get into clock mode lol. I will be one of those old ladies who ends up with her clock set correctly only when daylight savings time is in effect!

5. I'm activating my Sirius account tomorrow

Had a Sirus-compatible radio, tuner, and antenna installed over the weekend. Since I live in the NYC area, Air America wasn't a factor in choosing it over XM--I just won't be able to listen to it in my car after midnight. I'll have four hard rock stations to choose from, plus any NFL game. Oh, and my radio, a replacement for one stolen in a break-in, has a door which closes when the engine's off--you're less likely to steal what you can't see!

On edit: Don't feel bad, muse--it took me until today to figure out how to set my clock, too!

8. Whoo hoooo!
I love all the music choices. I don't think I will be sorry but Sirius really would have been my preference. Oh well. Enjoy. I got the kind that you have to take the face plate off, I have never seen the other kind. That is really cool. Theft is not a big problem where I live but then I have never had a good system, now that I do I will certainly have to be more careful.

10. It is going to
take me a while to listen to all of them. I LOVE the African music channel and of course all the Latin/Regional Mexican music. So many to choose from.
