Poll question: Favorite Disney Classic Animation Film
On my way to Disneyland next Sunday I can't get Disney off the brain.

This poll covers only the best known early/classic Disney animation films.

I can't choose one, so I'll post my preferences in order later.

But you can only vote for one:

9. If only Uncle Walt's original vision for it was realized
He saw it as a constantly traveling movie, updated every year to showcase the best in animation.

If you haven't seen Fantasia 2000, do.

13. That's sort of what Bruno Bozzetto has been...
... doing with his collections of cartoon shorts. They seem to change over time (although some of that could be due to choices made by VHS distributors).

His satire on "Fantasia," btw, is not to be missed.

10. True! But who does not love Donald Duck?
"Who's got the sweetest disposition?"

I also really love the old Golden Key "Uncle Scrooge" Comics- they are quite good- story & art wise...

24. When I was a kid other kids called me "Donald Duck" for awhile.
Please don't ask me why.

And yes, the 1950's "Uncle Scrooge" Comics were classic - I used to collect them all.

7. 1959 was the cut off. That one was made in 1961.
I'll put up a more contemporary poll later. :)

8. I'd still consider it a classic.
I definitely wouldn't put it in the same category as Beauty And The Beast, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, et al.

12. I consider it a classic too, but there are only 10 spots for this poll. :(
Unfortunately, it will be in that next category, but it will definitely top the list.

The music is so relaxing that I always fall asleep.

I voted for Snow White.

I suspect you're already sound asleep by the time that comes along. In which case, you've also missed "Ave Maria".

31. Bambi was the first movie I ever saw
It was my treat for being good at my first trip to the dentist!

I saw it in the theatre again a few years ago when it was re-released. I still cried when Bambi's mother was killed.

32. I prefer the B-list features.
"Aladdin", "The Emperor's New Groove", "The Sword In The Stone", "Fun And Fancy Free", "Make Mine Music", "Saludos Amigos", "A Goofy Movie", etc.

Less hype, less pressure, more enjoyable product.

Note too that Dizney has now closed its cell animation department. Sort of like Coca-Cola getting out of the soft drink business.

result begun his own website: www.savedisney.com
