Oasis wants you to give food to the mail carriers' drive on Saturday |
|
That's the DU poster "oasis", by the way, who is a former postal carrier. Isn't there also some band called "Oasis"? Well, it's not them. :-)
Non-USA DUers excepted, obviously. Those of us within Bushovia should have already received a card in (what else?) the mail advertising the event. Give 'em all the non-perishable food you can rustle up (check your local markets for specials), but stay away from anything in glass containers; at least out here, the trucks tend to fill up, and the glass would -- well, you know. So stick with canned goods, boxes of pasta, bags of rice, etc. and put 'em out by your mailbox on Saturday.
And remember, oasis loves you (no, NOT them!!).

1. I think my mail man is a few fries short of a happy meal |
|
I really am afraid to talk to him...he might kill me:hide:
But, because of his ability to give me the wrong mail, I have met all my neighbors!

I was just thinking what a cool "Seinfeld" they could have gotten out of this, with Newman hijacking the mail truck full of donated food, and Kramer pitching a foodbank-themed restaurant...
Not to worry. Just leave the stuff out before he gets there -- early in the morning, or even Friday night.
