A early 70's Pro Football question. Re: The halftime show |
|
Does anybody remember that they showed the marching band during halftime, as opposed to breaking to the studio to get everyone updated on other games? Did they do that or is it just me?

1. Girls, girls, girls.... |

In the band, cheerleading, in the stands....yep...that's what they went for. Of course, they also went to Cossell and Dandy Don, et al in the booth...but girrrls ruled. Trust me.

3. It must have been college football then. |

But I swear I remember them showing marching bands during pro games as well. At any rate, I remember hearing the theme song from Hawaii 5-O all the time.

4. They had visiting bands. |

They came from colleges and local High Schools. You did not imagine this--it is true!

I guess I just don't remember it. I liked it better that way. The majorettes (at the college games anyway) used to wear some really skimpy outfits. Now I just check out DU during halftime. :)
