Like to watch free television?

I missed two eps of Enterprise and dl/ed those. Sadly they weren't worth watching. I generally don't d/l movies and such whatsoever, but those without tivo or friends to swap tapes must be disappointed these days.

And with new shows like Britney and Kevin show on UPN, one has to wonder what the MPAA's fuss is about. :eyes:

Watching the enterprise finale right now on tv. Man, lots of facelifts and makeup to get them to look younger... nevermind the utter fanwank of a plot; though oddly the reason for the makeup and facelifts is more entertaining than the true Archer scenes.

1. I don't have a tv
so I've been relying on Bit torrents for my Daily show fix, etc. Pisses me off that the really good sites have been taken down. Now I have to search like mad for new torrents sites. Those MPAA bastards! (shaking fist at sky).

3. Oh, especially when we ALREADY PAID FOR THE TV SHOWS.

Every product you buy: From milk to cell phone to hemmorhoids cream. Cars too. Everything. Every product we paid for went into the production of MAHY TV shows.

TV is free becuse of that.

And yet they want to skew the system to ensure they get more free perks and money while we get screwed.

And we can't buy generic; it's made by the name brand company sans their big name stamped on the front.

The suppliers win in the end. What they do determines if we're a free society. Or a fascist one.

2. BTEfnet was one of my favourite sites
Especially Mondays when I realized I missed The Simpsons as usual. I was very bummed that it got shut down. Lousy MPAA.

4. They had the new Dr Who as well...
the only series I actually bothered to download and only because no American station would take it. :grr:

I'm tempted to buy the R2 DVD set when it comes out in November (though the monetary translation will likely be 1 dollar = 3 pounds by then! ) and say "sod off" to American networks for good. They won't air it so I will just have to buy it direct and buy as much generic no-label clothing and food and ointments because I'm not going to give sponsors any more money than I have to ever again.

Buying direct allows me to watch when I want instead of having to live with the network's time slot anyway. And with cable being $60 a month, they can rot too.

7. See, we really enjoyed it...
But see, Skip is one of those hard core Trekkers. I liked this version of the show. I love Scott Bakula, and I thought Tucker was hilarious and loved watching him trade barbs with T'Pol, who I didn't like until like last season. I was bawling like a baby when Tripp died. We thought the show ended well, except I wanted to hear the speech that Captain Archer gave.
