Media reform conference taking place in St Louis is ignored
by the most popular "news" channel, Channel 5.

KMOV Channel 4 just had a short snippet of an interview with Phil Donahue. Supposedly the complete interview will air tonight at 630 on Channel 4 in St Louis. The snippet they showed was of Phil lamenting the fact that there are few real news hours and blaming it on the concentration of media ownership.

Channel 5 was airing an interview with a Viet Nam veteran who was spreading the lie that all returning Viet Nam vets were treated with derision when they came back to the US, unlike the "heroes" welcome accorded the Gulf War I and Gulf War II vets, according to hte mediawhore on channel 5.

On my way to the media conference. I don't have a ticket but the hotel has free wireless Internet in the lobby and I will avail myself of that.

Al Franken is hosting the keynote tonight. I'd LOVE to get into that!
