14. Cat Woman OT question... |
|
I see you have a lot of tortoise shell cats in your sig.
Sorry, not trying to hijack a thread here but I'm feeling overly chatty tonight for some reason and you may be able to answer these 2 questions I have always wondered about...
#1 Do the male torties ever have a dividing line down the center of their faces? #2 Have you ever seen a female orange tabby?
Don't hate me if this is a stupid question but so far in my quest for answers to both of these questions have been no! And then I wonder why that is?
sorry for the interruption, carry on!

I have never seen an orange female tabby. Female, calico, orange tabby, yes, but I was looking to debunk my theory that all orange tabbys were male. Thanks again!

Male and Female are sisters (pronounced MOLLY and FEE-MOLLY). Female is turkish angora, and Male is turkish angora mix. Male is a tortie. I thought Male was a boy when I first got her, and didn't learn she was a girl until I took her to have her spaded (boy was my face red -- not only was she a girl, but was also in heat).
Streak and Trinity are also sisters, and they are calicos. As a matter of fact, they just had their 3d birthday. My ex named Streak, primarily because of the Streak down her face (I think it makes her look crazy; Skittles thinks it makes her look like a drug addict :D ).
I've never had a male tortie, so I can't answer your question.
I have a couple strays that I feed who hang around outside. One of them, Little Skitty, is an orange tabby, as was his Mom (she died of AIDS a couple years ago), but he is about 5 years old now and thriving.

25. Thanks for adding your wisdom! |
|
I have never seen a male tortie either, tortie to me means no white fur at all, otherwise it's a calico and the same goes for orange tabby, no white patches anywhere.
I've always wondered about the dividing line down the face too, whether it means anything special or not.
Thanks for your input, I wonder about the strangest things sometimes!

(I have one, too). But, then, I thought that all orange tabbies were male and a poster below says otherwise.

That's why I started this line of questioning!
Sorry, I believe that all of these poignant questions will prolly be answered when I die, but dammit! I wanna know now!

11. There's a place for us! |
|
There's a place for us, Somewhere a place for us. Peace and quiet and open air Wait for us Somewhere.
There's a time for us, Some day a time for us, Time together with time spare, Time to learn, time to care, Some day!
Somewhere. We'll find a new way of living, We'll find a way of forgiving Somewhere . . .
There's a place for us, A time and place for us. Hold my hand and we're halfway there. Hold my hand and I'll take you there Somehow, Some day, Somewhere!

My daughter's favorite was the bouncer (15 years ago). It hung from the doorway and she bounced and bounced. I have video of her laughing so hard on that thing.

Except...there are no allusions to "Romeo and Juliet", it's on a internet message board, and it's not scored by Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim. And it's not choreographed by Jerome Robbins.
Besides that...it's identical! :-)
Another good one, Big!
