Confession time: I like Jar Jar Binks |
|
Hey, I attacked the ABB strategy, I've defended the abiotic theory--I'm used to getting flamed. So I'm gonna say it...
I love that goofy gungan.
As I see it, he's the flower child of the saga: he can't conform to a warrior society (no shame there), opts to spend his days in communion with nature, but finds his peace-of-mind crushed when those bastard corporatists come a' calling. In a conflagration involving child prodigies, destroyers of worlds, bounty hunters, and knights, we have a hippie here who just can't bloody win. Kinda like us.
Are there any closeted Binks fans out there?

2. I'm kind of morbidly curious... |

...in what plans Lucas had for the character in Episodes II and III before the massive backlash against him occured when Episode I was released. He drastically cut down the size of his role in Episode II, and apparently he'll barely be in Episode III and may not even have a speaking line.
Not that I'm complaining, but just where exactly was he originally going with Binks?

3. Jar Jar played an important role at the Battle of Naboo |
|
He only briefly appears in Episode III and has no lines.
