What time does it get dark where you live? |
|
It gets dark here around 5:30 for now...late December it gets dark at around 4:30, but on June 21st it stays light till aroung 10:00pm. so it's a nice trade off.
how about you?

8. When I lived in New Brunswick |
|
I was about ten miles from the Maine border. I remember it got dark around 5:20. And I was used to the 4:30 darkness. Then I realized it was because I was at the very begining of the time zone. Then I realized that the poor buggers ten miles away where getting dark at 4:20...ugh
WHen I lived in QUbec I swear it was dark at 3:50 every day.

I lived in west Texas for a while and it didn't get dark there until about 9:45 pm during the summer. I thought that was awfully late. 11 pm? Where are you?

in the green Mtns of Vermont for the past 20 minutes. My end of the driveway (light sensor activated) lights are on and I hate this time of year. Why can't we stay on Daylight time year round ?? I can't see shit even in bright daylight and now I refuse to drive after sundown. I think the Bush Cabal likes this time of year cuz the darker it is...the more they can get away with.
Well....Fuck em...I'm ordering some night-vision goggles so I know what's goin on !! Maybe I should go to bed now.

23. It starts getting dark at |
|
twilight. And then it is fully dark at night. Except when the moon is full, or nearly so, and up - then it's actually quite bright.
And then, sure enough, it starts to get lighter at the other twilight and - before you know it - chariots drag the sun up so that it is oh so conveniently light during daytime.
And this just seems a little too convenient to me, if you know what I mean: I mean, what are the odds that, day after day (without, as far as I can tell, a real deviation in all my years of record-keeping), the sun coming up coincides exactly with the start of daylight hours and that its going down invariably matches evening twilight perfectly?
There's something going on here. i think it has something to do with the Aurora project. But perhaps I have already said too much... :tinfoilhat:

24. About 6:15 in Asheville. |
|
The ONLY good thing about that is that it doesn't get dark much earlier than that even in December. We are on the western edge of Eastern time, and that helps tremendously.
But this still sucks, because now when we go hiking, we must get started much earlier in the day, to avoid being on a trail after dark!
