Our Buddy, a somewhat tame stray:

Hopefully Mrs. V. can be persuaded to tell the tale of Buddy the Dog, her pet for many years.

2. 'Buddy Boy' is one of our rescue JRTs
What a pistol he is. Glad the other two are females, they're SLIGHTLY less hyper. :)

in high school, I had a golden retriever named Ben (after Big Ben, you remember the Griswalds)and he was very sick. My mom told me to say goodbye to him because he wouldn't be there when I got home. So I said my goodbyes with tears streaming down my face. He was still just as happy acting as ever, but he was in pain and very ill. My dad was taking him to the vet. Ben was in the passenger seat all laid out. My dad said to him well Ben you are going to be in a better place. They pulled up at the vet, and my dad said I hate to do this Ben, but you are better off. He told him that he loved him. When my dad went to the passenger side door to get Ben and take him in, Ben had already passed. He passed away some time when my dad was walking around the car to get him. He didn't want my dad to have to put him to sleep, so he slipped away. It still brings tears to my eyes to this day. It was about 13 years ago.

5. That's a sad story, Shell.
I'm sorry. I'll bet you have some wonderful memories of Ben.

6. He was the sweetest dog I've ever had. And a real
beauty! He was the first dog that was mine. I got him for Christmas. Now I have 3 wonderful dogs, but you never forget the ones you loved before.

4. My parents currently have a calf named Buddy.
He was one of twins who were born recently. They gave his sister away & then his mom died. So, now they're bottle feeding him. Last time I was home, I took a bunch of pics. When I get a chance, I'll post some. He's very cute.

:hi:

9. We found a black and white kitten and named him "Buddy."
Unfortunately his REAL owners saw our sign and came to take him away from us. :( He was so cute.

10. I have a cat named Buddy
No digital camera so I can't post a photo but he is an orange tabby. I have no idea why I decided to call him that. It was easier I guess.

11. I sure did!!
Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of him scanned. Back when I was 9/10 I moved to Texas to spend a summer with my dad. One night when my brother and I were in bed, he ran to the gas station for smokes, and picked up a stray dog. He had seen it behind the gas station going through garbage and whatnot for weeks. The dog had no collar or anything, and my dad felt sorry for the little guy- he was a mutt, and very scrawny. So he took him home and we named him Buddy. He was just the sweetest dog you could ever find! We fattened him up and made him a very happy guy! After the summer was over, my brother and I went back home to our mom. Dad told us that within a few days of us leaving, Buddy ran away. :(. He never found him again, so I hope a good person found him and gave him a good home worthy of my sweet doggy.
