4. I was a true fan of 4, 5, and 6....1&2 left me dissappointed |
|
but I am truly looking forward to this one.
How was the plot and character development in this one?? My main compliant of one and two have been that I didn't care as much what happened with the characters, they seemed empty.

I figure 11:15 shouldn't be as bad as later showings.

is much better than 1 & 2.
That being said, this is still a Lucas directed film, and some of the dialogue seems stilted and forced -- but not nearly as often or as badly as 1 & 2. the SFX are great, the plot did a great job considering we all know the ending. Some truley great twists and turns along the way. I actually started to feel something watching this movie, unlike 1 & 2.
Plus, as a Dem, there are so many parrallels its amazing.

7. As bad as some of the acting and dialogue was... |
|
I thought there were moments where Ewan McGregor really rose above the material. The end of the fight with Ani comes to mind. And Ian McDiarmid was quite good.

10. Ian McDiarmid was good for about 90% of the film |

But I thought that the whole sequence of Anakin turning to the dark side was a bit lame. Then again, I think that was more on Anakin's part. The only thing I really didn't like about Ian McDiarmid's part was when Mace Windu was about to kill him and he was like "Look Anakin, he's trying to kill me." That line just sounded really weird.
My biggest rant is that Natille Portman is such a great actress and that her role was so poorly written and directed, that she will be remembered as just a sex object in the movie.
