She asked me why I'm just a hairy guy.
I'm hairy noon and night
Hair that's a fright
I'm hairy high and low
Don't ask me why
Don't know
It's not for lack of bread
Like the Grateful Dead
Darling

Gimme head with hair
Long beautiful hair
Shining, gleaming,
Streaming, flaxen, waxen

Give me down to there hair
Shoulder length or longer
Here baby, there mama
Everywhere daddy daddy

Hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair
Flow it, show it
Long as God can grow it
My hair

Let it fly in the breeze
And get caught in the trees
Give a home to the fleas in my hair
A home for fleas
A hive for bees
A nest for birds
There ain't no words
For the beauty, the splendor, the wonder
Of my...

Hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair
Flow it, show it
Long as God can grow it
My hair

I want it long, straight, curly, fuzzy
Snaggy, shaggy, ratty, matty
Oily, greasy, fleecy
Shining, gleaming, streaming
Flaxen, waxen
Knotted, polka-dotted
Twisted, beaded, braided
Powdered, flowered, and confettied
Bangled, tangled, spangled, and spaghettied!

Oh say can you see
My eyes if you can
Then my hair's too short

Down to here
Down to there
Down to where
It stops by itself

They'll be ga ga at the go go
When they see me in my toga
My toga made of blond
Brilliantined
Biblical hair

My hair like Jesus wore it
Hallelujah I adore it
Hallelujah Mary loved her son
Why don't my mother love me?

Hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair
Flow it, show it
Long as God can grow it
My hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair
Flow it, show it
Long as God can grow it
My hair

4. I was at the filming of that movie
Edited on Thu May-19-05 11:00 PM by Lannes
There is a very brief shot of some people dancing near the Lincoln memorial near the end.I was there with my Dad when we were visiting dressed in a suit and a tie and everyone else was dressed like hippies because they put an ad in for people to come dressed that way.Boy did we stand out.

I love that movie got it on DVD as well.I especially love that bass line during the opening credits.

2. I love that song, just as I love
the whole soundtrack! Initials was a really fun one when I was little.

LBJ took the IRT
Down to Bored Street, USA
When he got there, what did he see?
A youth of America on LSD!

LBJ, IRT, USA, LSD
LSD, LBJ, FBI, CIA

FBICIALSD, LBJ!

Of course, there are many, many, many others. I grew up listening to that whole album, since my parents played it all the time.

5. Welcome! suphur dioxide. Hello! carbon monoxide.

Welcome! sulphur dioxide
Hello! carbon monoxide
The air, the air
Is everywhere

Breath deep, while you sleep
Breath deep

Bless you, alcohol bloodstream
Save me, nicotine lung steam

Incense, incense
Is in the air
Breath deep, while you sleep
Breath deep

Cataclysmic ectoplasm
Fallout atomic orgasm
Vapor and fume
At the stone of my tomb
Breathing like a sullen perfume

Eating at the stone of my tomb

Welcome! sulphur dioxide
Hello! carbon monoxide
The air, the air
Is everywhere

Breath deep, while you sleep
Breath deep

Deep, deep, deep, cough cough

7. 'Don't Put It Down' is a song I posted the lyrics to some time ago
before the last pretend election when Dems/liberals were being bashed as being unpatriotic. I suggest it is a song we might consider teaching or children (and/or grandchildren)

8. My favorite, makes me cry every time I sing with it....
Easy To Be Hard

How can people be so heartless
How can people be so cruel
Easy To Be Hard; Easy to be cold

Oh, how can people have no feelings
How can they ignore their friends
Easy to be proud; Easy to say no

And especially people who care about strangers
Who care about evil and social injustice
Do you only care about the bleeding crowd?
How about a needing friend?
I need a friend...

How can people be so heartless
You know I'm hung up on you
Easy to give in; Easy to help out

Oh, and especially people who care about strangers
Who care about evil and social injustice
Do you only care about the bleeding crowd?
How about a needing friend?
I need a friend...

How can people have no feelings
How can they ignore their friends
Easy to be hard; Easy to be cold
Easy to be proud;
Easy to say no.

Must be something in the air, I was thinking of this album today, too.

9. More relevant these days...
Ripped open by metal explosion.
Caught in barbed wire, fireball, bullet shock.
Bayonet, electricity.
Shrapnelled throbbing meat.

Electronic data processing.
Black uniforms, bare feet, carbine.
Mail order rifles, shoot the muscles.

Two hundred and fifty-six Viet Cong captured...

Prisoners in Niggertown, it's a dirty little war,
Three-five-zero-zero.
Take weapons up and begin to kill.
Watch the long, long armies drifting home.

That wasn't the dawning of the Age Of Aquarius.

It was the dawning of the Age Of Nixon.

Shit.

I need another drink...
