There is no such thing as "too paranoid"
There is only, "paranoid consistent with current threat levels" or "paranoid consistent with future threat levels."

3. Good point.
But if an average Joe looked each days for bugs in his own house, that might count as excessive paranoia (even these days). Perhaps... :)

5. Only if it interferes with functioning
There's nothing wrong with having a few harmless delusions and hallucinations, as long as they don't hurt or interfere too much with your life. Just adds character, I always say...

4. One believes NOTHING that comes from the MSM....
... I'm sure that SOME of it is accurate - especially the local stuff.....

But it does not matter, I believe NONE of it w/o multiple sources.

6. Ben Franklin was paranoid, do you think?
He said (and I paraphrase, because Marvin Gaye said it better), "Believe half of what you see and none of what you hear."

I believe nothing. But I'm a lawyer.

14. Yup... I don't believe a word of it any more.
It's going to take years and years of earnest effort
for the Corporate Owned News (C.O.N.) to regain any
iota of legitimacy with me. I've seen too much and
have heard too little.

17. The most brilliant show ever on TV
I am amazed at how current it is, sadly, more than thirty years later, and how utterly perfect every plot line, every line of dialogue, every character development, was.

There's a show on now, on Fox, of all place, Tuesday nights at 9, called "House." I think it's right up there with "M*A*S*H*" on those scores.

21. I know that feeling, BUT
it's been renewed for a whole season, it's consistently rating 'way up there, and its viewer numbers have been rising.

I think we're backing a winner this time, friend .................

23. Ohhh... I wouldn't say that.
Call me paranoid, but, those are the traits which bring
about a quick death on FOX. ;)

27. Really?
Truthfully, it's the only thing on FOX that I watch, so I don't know.

I hope you're wrong, I really do. I can't wait for the first season of "House" to come out on DVD. That one, I'll pay retail for - a first.

24. I do have one question about "House" though.
I suppose it's one reason I find the show interesting.

Do you think the other characters threat House as
a hypochondriac?

Do you think that even though the other characters
treat House as a hypochondriac that there aren't
things really wrong with him?

28. No
I never got that sense. In fact, there have been references - most recently, this past Tuesday night's show - about how he sustained his limp, what happened to him, and how he was betrayed by the woman he loved, played by Sela Ward, who's just shown up.

No, I think they treat House as a lovable cobra, fascinating, remarkable in construction, but deadly if turned on them.

However, also as demonstrated by this past Tuesday's show, House is a natural (and excellent) teacher, and his residents know that, too, so they stay really close.

29. I think it was last season he revealed...
... the physical cause of his limp was a type of Infarction.

He's constantly taking medicines. Has that been explained
yet?

22. I watch that late at night here,
and I'm amazed (again) at how damn good it was. That show went off the air far too soon, I think.

Another brilliant ensemble. Is there anything better in terms of dramatic or comedy entertainment than really good ensemble programs?
