I work with a woman who you all would hate
Not because she's a freeper - she's actually a dem.

The reason you hate her is thus:

She rarely works out, and she doesnt eat healthy. She eats burgers, fries, pizza..etc

Yet she stays a size 2 no matter what. She's not bulemic, nor anorexic...

And she's in her 30's.

29. Not even close...
I have to work out constantly to stay in shape. If I so much as eat a cookie I put on 3 pounds. It's irritating as hell.

3. Some people just have the type of metabolism
where they don't put on weight. But if she keeps eating like that, she may have problems when she gets into her 50s, with high blood pressure, high cholestrol, etc.

6. True....we can reassure ourselves with that
Although I also have a friend who was a world class sprinter, always ate really healthy...is in his 30's and has high cholestrol and high blood pressure. And he is what you would consider the picture of health.

Mother Nature can be a cruel bitch sometimes...

4. A friend of mine is like this
but she's in her 20s so that may help her (though her mother is the same way). I've seen this girl eat the equivelant of three meals in one sitting. She eats crap all the time. If I ate HALF of what she eats I'd be 300lbs. Yet she stays a size 4. I sometimes wonder why I stay her friend.

but then again I have nightmares about being a size 2 so she's nothing I'd ever aspire to be.

7. *sigh* I know how she feels...
What type of work do you do- office, or factory?

I'm almost 30, and I'll admit I eat.... well.... shitty food, but somehow I still have a 28" waist. Of course, slinging around 15#-50# trays of mail for eight hours a day doesn't hurt :D

8. Nah, I don't hate her
Luckily for me, I'm the same way. I worried after I hurt my knee and couldn't run anymore that I'd have to change my ways, but I still eat anything I want and rarely gain any weight. :bounce:

10. I don't hate her...
and I'll think fondly of her after her third heart attack. :)

My mother-in-law fits this description to a T. Of course, her cholesterol level makes her doctor weep, but hey.... slim waist equals denial of bodily harm in her book.

18. My wife's late Grandmother
Weighed 100 pounds and was 5 foot even. She ate like a horse, smoked a pack a day for age 15 until her death, and drank a fifth of Johnny Walker Red a week. THis all until she died at age 86. I hope I have as good of a run.

11. Some people have trouble maintaining a healthy weight
no matter how much they eat. That's about as bad as gaining too much weight.

I had an aunt on my father's side like this. She was alwasy rather weak and sickly. I felt sorry for her.

12. That was me until I hit 30
I don't know if it was hitting 30 or that I got married and quit working out - ate WAY TOO MUCH with my hubby and now can't get back down to that size 2.

(I actually wore size 1s and 0s when I could find them - and I could eat and drink like a mad woman)

Now I look at chocolate cake and I gain 5 pounds!

13. Try the DNA diet
It actually isnt one diet, its a diet based on your DNA with the idea that some people gain more when the eat carbs, and some people gain more when the eat more fats, etc....

And also thrown in there is the whole changing body thing.

14. I used to be sorta like that
I ate a little more healthfully than you are describing but I was able to eat TONS of food and never gain an ounce, even if I didn't get much exercise.

That all ended when I had my first child at the age of 41.

21. Who's to say they wouldnt today?
Most guys I know prefer a little more meat on the bones ya know....

There's also a woman who works here, who I wouldn't call fat, but definitely pear shaped...she has a pretty face, and she has that sexy attitude.

A bit hard to explain but it involves using the jedi hair flip thing and eyelashes. Men do whatever she says as a result.

30. In her 30's? That's NORMAL. Wait until she hits her 40's. The metabolism
rate declines at 10% per year once a woman hits 35...

Life must be adjusted accordingly.

Until I was 35, I weighed 127 and at age 32 barely gained 20 lbs with my baby. I was back in my size 4 jeans in 2 weeks.

Now, I battle with my metabolism and have had to change my eating and exercize programs completely and it's working, those sneaky pounds are melting away.

No more daily huge breakfasts, lunch, late dinners, snacks... everything is now in moderation and with lots of fruits and fiber. Oh yay!
