1. Wow, that brings back the memories |

I used to own the first issue of the 70's era Marvel Comics Howard the Duck series. It was a fast collector's item. Not sure what it would be worth today.
Comics really had a strange counterculture vibe back in the day. Don't see much of that anymore.

Thanks to the mothers of invention members who made it.
Wizard? Wizard with a bomb?
No... Willard Isenbaum.

3. Still have mine not worth that much any more. |

My mother threw away all of the crown jewel comics (1st Action Comic, 1st Spiderman, 1st Thor) I had when I was 14. I would be very very wealthy if I had them today. Poor Howard did not have staying power.

4. Tru dat. I guess that Howard didn't have legs...... |

I just remember the comic gaining fast ground with collectors at the time. I guess the assumption was that it would become a "classic" at some point.
Losing "Thor", "Action" and "Spidey" is much more alarming. What is it with parents? My Dad laments the fact that my Grandmother threw away his baseball card collection. He had Ruth and Gehrig and a lot of the other old Yankees. No telling the value today.
I'm letting my kids keep all of their stuff.
