Poll question: May Photo Contest - LIGHT AND SHADOW - Stage 1, Group 1
Edited on Fri May-20-05 03:10 PM by ConsAreLiars
There are a total of 30 images produced by participants in DU's Photography Forum which are divided into 3 groups of 10.

Links to the other two groups are in the Introductory thread here:

Comments on specific images are encouraged in the thread in which they appear, since part of the purpose of the Photography Forum is to learn from others. General comments about the contest and "kicks" should go in the above-linked thread.

1. Yipes, tough choice.
I see 2 that I REALLY like and I can't decide between 'em.

I'll have to wait and think on it :)

2. I voted for Swallow.
Hard choice between it and the Rose picture. But, last time
I went for the nature. So, this time I decided to go for the
art.

3. Had It Narrowed Down To Three: Broken Glass, Tree & Cord.
it's great you chose a theme.

It's a bit easier for me to 'judge' them and also adds the interest in seeing how the artist interpreted the theme's subject.

6. Nice work, everyone
Ultimately I chose #2 because of its exquisite subtlety. But all of these photos are praiseworthy. I was especially taken by #10, too, which besides its formal qualities reads (for me, anyway) as a brilliant take on the architecture of alienation.

7. very tough choice for me between 9 and 10
I'll give the nod to 10 because of the technical difficulty in getting decent depth in a photo that contrasty. It really looks like a professional effort.

The conservation movement is a breeding ground of communists
and other subversives. We intend to clean them out,
even if it means rounding up every birdwatcher in the country.
