What's the WEIRDEST dream you ever had? |
|
Edited on Fri May-20-05 09:51 PM by bertha katzenengel
Tell your weirdest dream. Will we believe you, or will we say, "you're full of it, you made that up!"?
This is from a couple of weeks ago:
My sister 2,600 miles away calls and asks, "Um... do you have any idea what Tory ate yesterday?" (Tory is my nephew)
I tell her, "No. Why do you ask?" And the instant I say "why" I know why she is asking: it's because he has pooped a live frog.
She says, "Because he pooped a live frog."
Suddenly I am instantly by her side, 2,600 miles away, standing in her bathroom, looking into the toilet bowl, which contains nothing but clean water and a little frog swimming around. And I wake up.
~~
I also have a recurring nightmare that I have to get to Target in a rowboat to get sour cream. And there is no water.
What is the weirdest dream you have ever had?

I had slept at my grandparents house and woke up on their pool table. There was a pool of blood around me (and a bunch over my eye) and I had my eyebrow ring in my hand. I went downstairs, where my grandfather was sitting and the phone rang. I answered the phone, and it was my grandfather was talking to me on the phone, but sitting right next to me watching tv at the same time (kinda like when Bill Pullman phoned Robert Blake in Lost Highway) and he told me to go out into the kitchen and my grandma would re-pierce my eyebrow for me.
I think that's probably my weirdest.

When I was young I had a nightmare where a corpse/skeletal-looking figure came to life, lunging out at me and pushing me into a coffin! When I woke up I had the breath knocked out of me for five-ten seconds. Needless to say, that scared the hell out of me.

9. Not really a weird dream, per se... |
|
But more a (hopefully not) portent of *'s future. "Noocular" winter, and surviving (or trying to) in it.

11. A series of "elevator" dreams...where I can't control which floor |
|
the elevator would stop on. I had these dreams for months, until the final one, where the doors opened and I was faced with a brick wall...and so couldn't go anywhere (regardless of the floor)!
That was my last "elevator" dream, thank goodness.
Elevator dreams (I am told) symbolize controlling "Success." Need I say more about my inability to do so...

13. I've had dreams like that.. |
|
I would walk down a road, then a train would start racing toward me. Then I get to a house, open the door..and here comes the train! Then I run down some stairs, but the train is just waiting for me at the bottom. I run down a tunnel, around the corner and BAAAM I'm flattened into dogmeat :scared:

I was standing in an elevator in a very nice hotel, kissing Leonard Cohen. The weird thing was, L. Cohen in my dream was about four inches shorter than me, but I'm pretty sure that the _real_ L. Cohen is taller than 5'4". ;) (It actually was a very nice dream.)

I was working at a donut shop with four walls made entirely of windows. It was night and I was bored. A woman walked in carrying a purse made of a badger's head and suddenly I knew that my death, like a laser beam or a sword in flight, was getting closer every moment. In my dream, I sang this creepy little song about how after death the souls of the animals flew apart, each one forgetting what it had been and where its place in life was. The song went:
"I hear the sound of millions of worms Coming to take me away, Unfeeling unknowing unsmiling uncaring In a slimy line. I hear the sound of a bright red laser But it is far away, I hear the sound of a sword in flight Closer every day. I hear the sound of: The mouse forgetting the taste of seeds The duck forgetting her home in the reeds The rabbit forgetting the rabbit stew, And God forgetting to love me too."
I woke up extremely disturbed and wrote down the desolate little song. Freaked me out for weeks...

15. It's not my weirdest dream, but... |
|
four days ago I dreamt that I was being divebombed by a giant moth in my bedroom. The moth was as large as a medium-sized dog. I freaking hate moths, those bastards.

You're talking to the Queen of weird dreams here. Although I've never had a frog story quite like your's.
I have a reoccuring nightmare that Michael Myers (you know, the creepy guy from the Halloween movies) is chasing me and wants to kill me. He always ends up sparing me and killing everyone else (for some reason, he always looks at me but then goes to the other people). This last time when I had this dream, he came thisclose to killing me. These dreams always suck because I wake up tired (like I've actually been running all night). :( Plus, who the hell wants to be chased by some guy in a weird mask?
