Has anybody here NEVER been drunk?? |
|
I haven't. The closest I came to it was during New Years when I was in New Orleans. I had a couple daquiris from a kick-ass place on Bourbon Street, and I started to feel a little light-headed and dizzy, but I could still see fine and walk straight. It was probably just a buzz anyway, it wore off by the time I got back to my hotel room. I don't drink much anyway, only very rarely. Probably an average of once every few months.
Anyone else here never been drunk??

Then again, I don't drink. (I am very very thirsty.)
Yes, I am over 21.

I've knocked off a pint of scotch in an hour's time.
Couldn't feel a thing.
It is overrated.

I was 22 and had never been really drunk, so some friends of mine got me completely loaded.
The experience was like one of those old films that were made to warn kids away from LSD. I felt like I was melting, and it wasn't a nice feeling.
No puking, no hangover, just the sense that everything was "off" and unpleasant.
Never tried it again.

4. About the same as you. |

I'm an average/tall sized guy, but I'm a lightweight concerning alcohol. One beer mellows me, two drinks and my eyes loose coordination and I start getting dizzy. That's as far as I drink.

-- after a messy divorce. Another radio personality had to drive me home. Never did it again. Don't like the feeling of being "out of control" --

I don't like not being in control of myself so no way for me. Plus you're prown to be more open to spiritual stuff and I'm pretty open as it is so I don't need any more shit.

but that's about it.
My father used to let us drink (sips) of spirits and wine when I was young. I loved the stuff until I was about 13. After that...it didn't do much for me.
I haven't had a drink in about 10 years, nor do I feel the need to.

10. I haven't. Alcoholism runs in my family. Never one to tempt fire. |

11. I was drunk only once, many years ago, when I was in college... |
|
It was accidental, and I don't remember all of the episode...except the throwing up in the gutter from the car...And the next DAY I had to take a civil service exam...I was fine. But very cautious around alcohol for months after, and I've never repeated the performance.
