1. My nephew is a big Bibleman fan |
|
He's force-fed the whole Dobson/Focus on the Family/born-again fundie thing. He likes to run around in a cape with his Sword of Righteousness, smiting down Satan at every corner. It's sad to watch. He's a sweet kid with moron parents.

4. Christian TV; the last hope of scoundrels. |
|
I know a local TV anchorwoman who went the whole route - facelifts, surgery, everything else. Like most newswomen, she got canned when she looked "too old" to the consultants. She ended up running a talk show on local Christian TV.
And I saw a stage magician who supposedly helped David Copperfield in the "vanishing Statue of Liberty" trick. He ran a Christian magic act with a fake illusion with nothing to do with the original illusion.
And who can forget Anita Bryant?
Basically, take your lousy and worn-out act, add Jesus to it, and get another decade or two of work.
