I have a deep, dark confession to make. |
|
I am a Star Wars fanboy. I am a freak, a nerd, a weirdo. I apply Star Wars quotes to my everyday vocabulary. If I could afford it, I would make myself a Wookiee suit. I'm tired of hiding. Mind you, I am happily married and don't live with my mother. ;)

I like the song "I will survive."
Whew, what a load off my chest to admit that.

Congratulations. You've taken the first step. TO what, I'm not sure, but I'm sure admitting it is good.
Speaking of which... You waiting for that Star Wars RTS game the way that I am? :silly:

I was never a huge fan of the SW games. Then again, I haven't played any of the recent ones for the PS2 or XBox platforms. Though I have to admit the original trilogy games for Super Nintendo were pretty good.
on edit- welcome to DU! :toast:

Well, not Robin, of course. Barry -- oh yeah.
I even liked "Spirits Having Flown." But then, I was 13 and it was 1979.

8. While not "real," I saw an excellent replica saber at Border's. |
|
Made the sounds and everything. If I had a spare $130 top throw down, I would have been all over it.

11. Do or do not -- there is no try |
|
That one gets used in my house or w/ my students on an almost daily basis.
"I've got a bad feeling about this..." is a good one.
Also, EVEY SINGLE TIME I merge onto the freeway, I begin rapidfire quoting from the Death Star run:
"Yahoo! You're all clear kid!" "Luke! You've switched off your targeting computers! What's wrong?" "Negative, negative -- it just impacted on the surface."

13. When I was in college, there was a huge field in from of my dorm. |
|
One day when it snowed, a frind of mine and I started talking into our watches: "Echo 3 to Echo 7, Han old buddy," etc. Also, on a windy day, the cables that supported the radio tower by the dorm used to make blaster sounds as they rattled in the wind. That made us go into Stormtrooper mode as we walked to the cafeteria. Needless to say, I didn't have to many girlfriends in college. :freak:
