Star Wars Allegory Question
I've heard it said many times that SW3 represents the current political situation. If so, who does Amidala represent?

"So, this is how liberty dies--with thundering applause."

2. It doesn't...
Lucas says he finished the script pre 9/11, and at the time he thought bush would be a 1 term wonder. Though he *is* something of a liberal, SW3 isn't about current politics.

6. I mean this hypothetically.
Although there were several parts that I would like to pick up, pack into a ball, and throw at a republican.

7. Lucas also said that this saga is based on the Roman Empire
Amazing how history repeats keep repeating itself. Maybe if human beings weren't so arrogant, they could actually learn from the horrendous mistakes of the past.

I think she represents the REAL modern Democrat who is pretty much appalled and angered by all that's happening, but is being steamrolled by all of the other so-called "Democrats" who are perfectly content with what is going on.
