14. I take pics of mushrooms as a hobby
Here a Morel mushroom which only grows for a few weeks in early spring. I took it after searching for days to find one. . Its actually published in a book called (of all things) Morels , by Michael Kuo to be released soon.

And cool that it's published.

Question--Why does it only grow for a short time?

28. Im not sure. Probably because the weather and ground temps have to be just
right. The Morel is adored all over the country. It can only be grown in the wild and people plan vacations around its entrance which in Ohio is usually the first few weeks in May. There are sites all over the net about Morels. Its an interesting shroom and its taste is second to none.

15. Here are two with a neat story behind them

I took this picture in 1975 (I think). When I got the film back, it looked very familiar to me. I realized why when I was going through and old family photo album from the early 1900's and found this -

I'd been standing on almost the exact same spot as some unknown ancestor. Cool, huh?

Hope that helps! :hi:

34. It's called the Falls of Lana
And it's near Salisbury, Vermont, near Lake Dunmore. Last I knew, there were no signs or markers - locals just know where the falls are. There's a little trail into the woods, then it starts going up and you come out and see that. The trail goes right to the top - it's very beautiful.

This garden is around my barn and it has gone to grass since I was lazy and did not get it cleaned up last fall or this spring. :spank: I am in the process of cleaning it up now and it is much more difficult than if I had done it before. Still, it is worth it. It has just begun to bloom.
