I may have to move back to the west coast . . .
I've been watching surfing videos lately, and I'm getting the bug back :). I haven't been out on good waves since '97 (which was an excellent year in Cali.).

I miss real waves dammit :)

1. ooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

noooooooooooooooooooooo !!!!!!!!!

Well if you must but consider checking out "the secret spot" in my home town before you do.

Surfers from all over New England flock here for some of the best waves off the NE coast.

Oh and 'the secret spot" is no longer much of a secret since it got posted on a surfer dude website several years ago, much to the chagrin of the "yocal" cops. Pretty funny though. .

2. Have you seen the articles on California house pricing? You
might want to live on that surf board.

3. No kidding. I feel for ET, but when a 30-yr old run-down 3 BR appraises
at nearly half a million -- as both my sisters' houses just have -- it gives one pause. Sigh.

4. I live in Mass. . . .
Home pricing is no excuse for not going to California :)

5. True enough.
When I'm really, really homesick, I fantasize that I would accept a hovel in East L.A. in order to live there. I could fix it up nice, and buy a gun...

6. Save up a bunch of cash and go live in Mexico for a month
Save the cash to pay your bills at home, you won't need that much to live on down there. Puerto Escondido is the place.
