Favorite Star Wars lightsaber duel
Which one is yours?

Obi Wan and Vader in Episode 4 (looking back, that one was a little tame)

Darth Vader and Luke Episode 5 (where Luke gives poppy a hand)

Darth Vader and Luke Epidose 6 (I know there is still good in you, father)

Obi Wan, Qui Gon, and Darth Maul Episode 1 (This was one of the only redeeming factors in Episode 1)

Obi Wan, Anakin, Yoda and Dooku Episode 2 (Not much to it, 'til Yoda got involved)

Obi Wan, Anakin and Dooku Episode 3 (Actually, more like Anakin and Dooku)

Palpatine and Mace Windu Episode 3 (Everything is going according to plan)

Palpatine and Yoda (Hurled many senate pods at my head, he did)

Obi Wan and Anakin/Darth Vader Episode 3 (Would you like your Sith toasted?)

Mine would probably be Luke vs Darth Vader in Empire, and Palpatine and Yoda. Nothing like seeing a creepy looking yellow-eyed dude and a frog hurl crap at each other.

4. Aww, come on, that was not a fight!
They didn't even show it! The kiddies were no match.

5. They had security camera footage and corpse footage
of course a 20 minute long child-slaughtering sequence would have been great

9. I'd have to say the final Obi Wan v. Anakin/Vader because not only
was it a great duel, but it had a huge significance :).

13. I love your little "Dad" smiley on the bottom
There was supposed to be something like that in Episode 3, where Palpatine told Anakin he created him, but they cut it out. I like it better the way it is.

10. I think Obi-Wan vs. Vader in Episode IV...
is more powerful than ever. It was a very civil battle and Obi-Wan went out like some type of God or something. And besides, he knew he wasn't leaving the Death Star alive...well...with his body intact at least.

14. That was less of a physical battle
More verbal. Before CGI took over, more realistic, too.

17. Both duels with him were pretty cool
Especially Yoda. He made it look like he was losing to Mace to get Anakin to turn.

28. OMG there is such a debate over that...
in the Star Wars fandom. Did Sidious let Mace Windu lose, or did Mace really win?

I'm of the camp that thinks Sidious intentionally lost. It had all gone according to his plan and exactly as he had forseen. This was the perfect time to get Anakin to turn.

35. I am in that camp as well
Anakin told Palpatine he was going to tell the council. He could have stopped him, but he didn't.

Everything went according to his plan.

The kid's acting was awful. They should have had Maul in it more.

I did forget that one. But was the zappy thing equivalent to a light saber?

That was a good scene. I liked the lizard he rode!

It really surprised me, as did Yoda turning his saber around and throwing it.

19. Yoda vs. Dooku
Samuel L. Jackson says Yoda is the baddest motherfucker in the universe. While his authority should be enough, this was the lightsaber duel that proved it.

"Get me my lightsaber."

"Which one is yours?"

"The one that says 'Bad Mother Fucker.'"

22. Yoda probably would have won that if Dooku didn't do the bait
and switch with dropping the big thing on Obi Wan and Anakin. Then he slipped out the back door.

27. Dark Helmet vs Lone Star!
Dark Helmet: So, Lone Star, now you see that evil will always triumph because good is dumb.

Dark Helmet: Before you die there is something you should know about us, Lone Star.
Lone Star: What?
Dark Helmet: I am your father's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate.
Lone Star: What's that make us?
Dark Helmet: Absolutely nothing! Which is what you are about to become.
