Skate rats! Everywhere!

I heard this low rumbling noise emanating from the 7/11 parking lot across the street so I went to the window to check it out. About nine teenage boys with their skate boards in a long procession skating across the parking lot. They proudly make use of the handicapped ramp and proceed to dismount on the sidewalk in front of the 7-11's double glass doors, nearly knocking down an old man who was lighting up a cigarette on his way out. The motley crew disappear into the store. They emerge from their cathedral of teenage wasteland with their grindage, Slurpees, Big Bites and and sundry chips and candies. They feast and hold court over their domain, the 7-11 parking lot. Eying the bettys who have followed, giving the stink eye to a guy in a polo shirt getting out of his convertible Beemer, ignoring the wretched old 7-11 clerk who has come outside to "keep tabs" on them. They then proceed to session in the empty parking lot, their off the hook maneuvers dazzling many a passerby. Dressed alike in their black T-shirts and jeans these boys have formed an unspoken bond, nay a brotherhood. They once again take up their boards and head for the street. Disappearing into the traffic and merging with the black top.

8. That depresses me somewhat

My town has literally nowhere to skate and most of my friends I used to skate with have either quit or moved away. Brings back some memories though, haha.

Our town had a skatepark at one point. All the ramps and boxes were built by us, no help from the town whatsoever. The only thing they did was let us us an old tennis court. Drunken punk-ass kids and hicks on dirtbike (seriously) pretty much ruined everything.
