What's a good soak for sore, tired feet?
Edited on Mon May-30-05 05:01 PM by skygazer
I worked my tail off this weekend (I run a liquor department - 'nuff said) and my feet are killing me. I want to soak them in some nice warm water but what can I put in it that would be soothing (and likely to find around the house)?

Any good suggestions would be very welcome.

Edited to add - I don't have any Epsom salts!! (but thanks anyway)

4. 2 parts Epsoms Salt, I part Baking Soda
some Vitamin E oil ( a couple drops) and Dr Bronner's Peppermint Soap.

Used to line up five little kids on my couch and watch them totally vegge out with their feet in big soup pots.

For full personal immersion, omit the Vitamin E and Dr. Bronner's and add lots of Lavender oil.

And enjoy.

8. Dr. Bronner was a nut
but hr was a camp survivor. Do forgive him. He still made the best camping and genital soap known to man and inspired innumerable laughs in the shower. You've got to hand it to him for that.

7. Well, crap
Looks like I'll have to send the hubby on a mission for some Epsom salts - they seem to be a key ingredient in all these suggestions. I do have some Peppermint tea somewhere, though...

9. You may want to look into new "work shoes".
I wear a Dansko support shoe.....I never have foot fatigue now.

A good foot massage sounds like your next ticket!

11. You're right about the shoes
Our store just gave out free shoes for some safety prize bullshit and the ones I got just will not get comfy. I need to invest in some good ones.

And I'll definitely hit the hubby up for that foot massage! And maybe a full body massage - he does give a mean massage.

15. I swear by Ryka comfort clogs.
I have them in five colors, in canvas and in corduroy.

They are amazing.

I get them at QVC.com for about $35.

19. So THAT's why they come in white!
All things being equal, white would be my last choice.

Our dogs have a habit of standing on my feet.. :)

10. Regular salt, baking soda and any old nice smelling crap

13. Chilled vodka. Not just the feet, get in a hot tub, soak the whole body
and drink a frosty cold glass of vodka. If you don't drown, you'll feel much better.

When I told her how bad my feet hurt.

She said it refreshes them.
