Poll question: Grey or Gray? |
|
Which do you prefer?
Grey as in Grey Poupon? or

I was always under the impression that 'gray' was the American spelling and 'grey' the British version.
Just out of curiousity, do the individuals who spell the color as 'grey', also spell theater with an 're' (theatre)?

10. That's what I thought too |

Well to be honest the first few times I saw 'gray' I assumed it was an error (ditto pajamas which just looks weird) - but then I saw that most Americans used it. Definite grey here (and theatre, and pyjamas, plus a few ante-delluvian ones of my own).

It's one of the only words I use that I'm not consistent on. Both are correct and both are in the dictionary, so it's not a big thing.
