There is no reason I should be. I had a wonderful day with friends and finished a major home project. I have a job. I am a little worried that they will not pick up my option for full time, but hopefully if I just do the best I can, they will see that I deserve to be full time. I had thought it was going to be full time, but apparently they like to hire temporary part time to see if the employees will fit. I think I like what I am doing. I just don't know. I need full time.
I was doing dishes and I started crying for no reason. Now I am sad and I don't know why:(.

We can't go through something as traumatic as seeing all those American coffins, graves and flags at half staff, then watch the Bullshitter in Chief act like he's cryin' over the Tomb of the Unknown, without being depressed.
Sorrow for fallen American heros/heroines is enough to make you cry. Seeing Bush ham it up for the cameras makes a normally-sensitive person want to throw up!

Memorial Day is normally sad, for anyone who pays any attention to what it's really about. Most families have members lost in a world war (mine included). And I can't watch the parade of dead young Americans on Lehrer/PBS everynight without crying.
Don't be too hard on yourself. Isn't there a Biblical quote that life "is a veil of tears"? Some days it sure is. Some days it ain't.
