Give him some yarn, a forty oh of Colt 45, and a copy of "The Porpoise-Driven Life" and he's in tree-climbing heaven.

I couldn't even finish the DaVinci code... there are so many writers who do it better.

Ian Pears, for instance.

publicly accused of plagarism on the basis of The DaVinci Code's ample borrowing from "Foucault's Pendulum."

Eco is a true master; the ending is one of the freakiest and most intense I've come across.

Have you read "The Name of the Rose"?

31. Che
proclaimed himself that he wasn't a Marxist, and the USSR was demonstrably not Marxist. I would say, in fact, no. However I see a couple that I believe are on the right path.

33. I agree that
the answer is no, which is why I'm not a Marxist. If it were a viable and realistic system to put into place without being highjacked by authoritarian statists then it would have happened by now.

32. I worked until rather late, then drove out to Lake Forest Park
looking for a store. The store was closed for Memorial Day and I got lost for about 1/2 an hour.

Finally got home, snuggled for a bit with my little kitty-faced pal.

Made a Turkey Sandwich and a cup of green tea for dinner, talked on the phone to DS1 for a bit and then went to bed.

Had a bunch of weird dreams, rolled over and went back to sleep a couple of times, now I'm awake again and posting to DU.
