My husband just ate the last slice of pound cake. |
|
He cut himself a slice and cut slice for Material Girl. I could MAYBE get over him leaving me out of the dessert party...
There was ONE slice left. I put the kidlet to bed, went to get that slice of buttery heaven on earth and it was GONE!!!!! It had vanished into the cake-napping toad that is my mate.
I am extracting my revenge now. I am eating Pecan Sandy Carmel Swirls in front of him and I am trying to decide where to stash the remaining ones so that he can't find them.
Suggestions?

I'm gonna have to stop sometime, however. Would it be rude (enough) to take them to bed with me???

5. I have fresh strawberries. |
|
I'll trot them on over.
He really screwed himself by not waiting for me. He could have had whipped cream and berries with the pound cake. I MIGHT have even scared up some Breyer's Vanilla Ice Cream too.
How old is your daughter and is it too early to teach my 8 year old to bake pound cake??

8. Definiely not too young to cook |
|
Might be s bit young to learn the recipe and fool with the oven, but definitely get her involved in the kitchen. She can add ingredients while you tend the blender. Make some in mini loaf pans just for her. Let her swirl chocolate or some other flavoring into the batter just befor you pop it in the oven.
My daughter is home from her first year of college. And she was elected president of the Young Dems at her school. She reorganized and was president of th YDs in Thurston County WA when we lived there - has been to 3 state conventions and the national YD Convention in Buffalo New york as well as the DNC in Boston as page for the WA delegation. oh, and she makes chocolate chip cookies, too. (Sorry, proud papa syndrome.)
:woohoo:

10. You have EVERY right to be a proud papa! |
|
Brains AND she can cook!!! Sounds like somebody did a mighty fine job of parenting!
We do cook together, but I really don't let her mess with the oven much. (She still seems so little to me!)
Enjoy the treat of having your daugher home (and the pound cake!)

3. Buy a luscious Chocolate Chip Cake and substitute a few... |
|
..chips for pieces of E-Lax. Give it to your selfish Hubby and say: "Here Sweetie, I hope this Clears things up between us"
Heh..Heh..in 2 hours he'll be Cleared-Up Plenty.. :)

6. He'd probably not put a new roll on after. |
|
Like a lot of people he's "TP roll challenged."
I'd have to hide the TP then, and he'd REALLY be screwed when he went back and ate the REST of that cake.

9. Stash locations: Inside the oven? |
|
Or some other fairly clean location that your DH never opens?

13. Eureka! In the sock drawer! |
|
He'd never think to look there--especially since he doesn't put his socks there anyhow! (Like I am any better. My socks never make it to the drawer.)
If I did put them there I could doubly punish him with crumbs on his socks!!
:)

Orange goes with ANYTHING!!!!
That would be diffcult to hide, however. Could make a horrible mess if I hid Orange Sherbet in the sock drawer!

14. he must make the next dessert, then... |
|
Whoever eats the last of the dessert must promptly provide a new dessert. It's a universal rule.

If you don't mind I'm gonna borrow that one for future use.
Gives me a good reason to leave ONE cookie in the package too...
