1. You lucky bastard.
Two more weeks for me. Then we'll see if my first year is my last.

3. ha ha I'm not that lucky
I have to work tomorrow and Wed and then I get a whopping 4 day weekend. On Monday, summer school in-service for a week and then summer school starts on the 20th. Once it is over, I have a luxurious 2 week vacation.

4. Just finished my 25th
as a teacher. But if I count the 18 years I went to school as a student, I have been in school for 43 years now. WOW!

6. How long did it take before you mastered classroom management?
More specifically, how long did it take you before you could deal with psycho behavior?

11. LOL I still can't 'deal' with psycho behavior.
Edited on Mon Jun-06-05 11:20 PM by proud2Blib
I teach special ed so I get to try to deal with it every day.

I guess I have learned to pick my battles. Psycho stuff I usually pay attention to. Most of the other crap I try to ignore or downplay.

I call parents a lot. I called one today. Kid was walking in and out of class, mad about something stupid. I told his mom that even on the last day, he has to follow rules.

7. Do you love this song?
Well we got no choice
All the girls and boys
Makin all that noise
'Cause they found new toys

Well we can't salute ya
Can't find a flag
If that don't suit ya
That's a drag

School's out for summer
School's out forever
School's been blown to pieces

No more pencils
No more books
No more teacher's dirty looks

Well we got no class
And we got no principles
And we got no innocence
We can't even think of a word that rhymes

School's out for summer
School's out forever
School's been blown to pieces

No more pencils
No more books
No more teacher's dirty looks

Out for summer
Out till fall
We might not go back at all

School's out forever
School's out for summer
School's out with fever
School's out completely
