44. Who? The same people who want all cafe food Americanized.
You know, the restaurant diners who, should they get a tiny bit of hot stuff, or spices, wail, "Ohhhhh, it's too ho-o-o-o-o-o-t. It's too SPIIIIIIIIICY..... (whimper whimper). And then the manager feels pressured to turn all the dishes into pablum, instead of informing these silly people that there is a cafeteria at the mall, just for them.

Ever order a 'red' dish from a menu, when red specifies 'spicy', and then when you get the plate, you have to ask for exxxxxxtra hot sauce, and you use the whole bottle??? That is the damage these chili lightweights cause...

19. I adore it!
I think cilantro is one of the most wonderful and delicious plants. One thing I love about pico de gallo is I can make it myself. It's a wonderful addition to many foods.

Who eats chicken beaks?? ;)

Seriously, for years I wouldn't eat it because I thought there had to be some sort of beak in there somewhere. But then I stopped being an idiot and tried it, and it is delicious.

27. It's not pico de gallo, it's CHIMOL, & here is the One True Way to make it

Cut up some onion (South Carolina Episcopal chop)
Cut up some tomatoes (same regional/theological modality)
Cut up some jalapenos
Cut up some garlic

Throw it all in a bowl

Add lime juice, salt, pepper, more garlic

Add other things you feel like adding, including but not limited to cut up mangoes, cilantro, black olives, sweet chiles, more garlic, vinegar, whatever you think would be good in your chimol that day.

Let it sit for a while at room temperature.
Post a guard to protect it.

Put it on your food. Eat normally. Refrigerate the rest for the next meal.

If you do not have a big bowl of chimol in your refri at all times, you are anti-American and your little dog, too.

From the album "Big Trouble". TFIA is one of the best duos performing on the planet today. They do music for kids and adults. Amazing stuff. I'll try to remember to post the lyrics when I get home from work.

43. Here!
Turns out they didn't write it, but here's the lyrics anyway!

Chorus:
Pico de gallo, you oughta give it a tro-o
Even if you're from Ohio, it'll get you by-o.
Don't get it in your eye-o unless you want to cry-o
So come on, don't be shy-o, eat some pico de gallo!

It's got jalapenos, I reckjon y'all have seen those.
They're kinda hot for gringos and probably flamingos.
Just add some tomatillos, onions and cilantro,
Lime juice and tomato, you got pico de gallo!

Chorus

It was Cinco de Mayo, and I was down on the bayou
With my good friend Venus de Milo,
We were watchin' Hawaii Five-O
She wanted some french fro-o's, or maybe apple pie-o
And I said why, oh, why-o? We got pico de gallo!

Pico de gallo, you oughta give it a tro-o
Even if you're from Ontari-i-o, it'll get you by-o.
Don't get it in your eye-o unless you want to cry-o
So come on, don't be shy-o, eat some pico de gallo!
So come on, don't be shy-o, eat some pico de gallo!
