I guess this kinda depends on who your favorite superhero is/was. Or maybe you can just objectively rate them based on how good they were as stand-alone movies.

From Hell was okay, but nobody does Alan Moore better than Alan (see Swamp Thing for your proof). Flash Gordon was campy but cool. Mars Attacks! was great Burton fare.

I think Richard Lester had a lot to do with that.
X-Men comes a close second.
Generally something major gets lost in translation, but these two got the closest.
