Best Movie Adapted From A Comic Book

I guess this kinda depends on who your favorite superhero is/was. Or maybe you can just objectively rate them based on how good they were as stand-alone movies.

Ok, Batman. Because the first one was so unexpectedly good, as opposed to the campy Batman we watched on TV

7. Mystery Men or MIB

From Hell was okay, but nobody does Alan Moore better than Alan (see Swamp Thing for your proof).
Flash Gordon was campy but cool.
Mars Attacks! was great Burton fare.

9. Superman II came the closest to capturing the comic.

I think Richard Lester had a lot to do with that.

X-Men comes a close second.

Generally something major gets lost in translation, but these two got the closest.
