True, it will be by county jail inmates but beggars can't be choosers.

that works to cure boredom, so I guess I could "retire" anytime I want. I hate just sitting around, though.

At age 55. If I had known Shit-for-Brains was going to reign I probably wouldn't have. I would have squirreled away a little bit more $$$. When I retired Clinton was prez and everything looked good. My how things can change.

I joined you in retirement a little over a month ago; I'm loving it! When my company trotted out their early retirement plan, I leaped at it. I just got my first retiree check a few days ago, and I'm looking at it and thinking "Goddam, I'm REALLY retired!" I'm sorry that things aren't looking as good for you...Can you go back? or are there other alternative forms of work that you could do? Or are you just going to ride it out?
:hi:

18. Thanks for the kind thoughts Peg but I'm OK. |
|
Just thought when I retired that I'd be better off but I have no major complaints. It really pisses me off knowing the legacy Bush and his co-conspirators are building for my kids and grandkids (and yours too).
And BTW, I enjoy reading your posts. You are one of the bright spots on this board. Enjoy your retirement.

19. Well, hey, you just made my day! |
|
Thank you so much! I'm pissed off as well about what Bushco is doing to our country and our kids and grandkids...That anger on my part is part of what made me glad to retire. NOW I can be more political, and I am...
I'm touched by your praise...bright spot...wow...:pals: I am loving my retirement, thank you!

12. I can retire from the state at age 52. |
|
28 years of state service and age 52 equals 80, which is what one needs to retire. If I make it to 30 years, I get a little bit bigger check. I have 15 years to go. :)

I socking away 15 percent of my income into my retirement plan. If I keep my job (and that is a big if) I hope to retire at 65 and become a full time poster on DU. :)
Needless to say, I'm not counting on Social Security.
