It's more manly. And I get to make that huge fireball right at the beginning with excessive amounts of lighter fluid.

9. just one of those things....
three were side of the road finds, the smoker and big weber were bought.
Different sizes for different needs.
just my wife and I with a piece of meat, or kids with hot dogs, we use the small grill
If I have multiple things to cook, meat, veggies appetizers I use more than one grill.
If we have a party, I am cooking on all the grills
Somewhat nuts I know.

I am free to cater parties

I do have a gas grill somewhere in the back of the garage, and a big outdoor boiler too

I do not fry turkeys, they go in the smoker

17. Wow - You're ambitious
I suppose if I were to cook for a group of people, it would be handy. But I just use the big blue weber for everyone's dinner. I bet it's like the Iron Chef at your house when you have a lawn party. Fire everywhere.

26. I have the regular kettle grill
Like the one pictured below it, and I can't tell you how many times I have wished I had an immediate table right next to it, rather than the puny little resin table I have now. When I have more patio space, I will be able to get the big table one.

Baby back ribs with a raspberry chipotle glaze, beer bum chicken, Montreal style grilled steaks, cedar plank salmon, grilled lobster tails. You bring the salad.

Due to the thin air and high altitude.

24. Charcoal for flavour, gas for even temperature
It very much depends on what I'm grilling as to which I prefer. Grilling a steak, or some baby back ribs, definitely charcoal. Grilling a delicate piece of fish like Dover Sole, - gas grill or nothing. A charcoal grill would have a piece of sole to the taste and texture of a burnt pencil eraser in no time flat.

I grill at least 4 times a week. Everyday after work grill - gas, weekend - smoker, travel grill - baby weber. No charcoal ever, wood or gas only.

33. Scraps of cherry make the BEST barbecue!
I buy Steve Wall's Cherry Shorts to have wood to turn, and there's always little scrap hunks left over. Those go in a box; when I've got about ten pounds, into the grill they go.

My favorite grill is the brick one the guy who had my house first built. Unfortunately, the guy didn't build anywhere for a fire, so my wife hates it. We have a Weber kettle grill, which is okay but not as classy as the brick one.

Steaks, burgers, shrimp, fish, pork, etc.
However, if I'm barbecuing it's low and slow.
Charcoal, with pecan wood chunks.
Usually a Brinkman Cajun Cooker with water bowl.

I use gas because it's hassle-free and quick to get going, but I first learned charcoal, then I learned wood.

I was good over wood. Yum! Nice bed of coals...But I had to lay the fire at 3PM to be ready to cook by 6.

We have a Tec Infrared grill. It can get much hotter than a gas grill, but has low settings too for barbeque and smoking. It's great!! And easy to clean.

You need all three. There's no substitute for charcoal when you need a real hot flame for steaks. The gas grill is quick and easy for stuff tha cooks slower like chicken. The smoker is without equal for ribs and pulled pork.

47. I think my husband did a barbecue last in the late 1970s --
We do have beef and pork ribs out at restaurants. Last time was in February in Texas somewhere -- yummy, yummy, in my tummy!
