what... am i supposed to disagree? its just a stunt. notice how they both cant stop talking about it? usuially starts are pretty guarded about their personal life. in interviews and such... but these two go out of their way to talk about it.

On the other hand I really don't know I haven't heard them say anything yet that would put me in one camp or the other. Sooner or later I will just like the interview a couple weeks ago with Angelina Jolie that made me decide that the whole thing with her having an affair with Bard Pitt was utter tabloid BS.

that's over 650 million dollars for his last five movies. His lifetime gross is $2.3 BILLION, and his AVERAGE movie grosses $95,000,000. That means his last five movies were above-average for him, and War of the Worlds will probably break $100 million easily.

Whatever his faults, he's not fading as a movie star.

In all time career movie gross, he's 4th behind Tom Hanks, Harrison Ford and Eddie Murphy. Harrison Ford hasn't had a blockbuster in years, nor has Eddie Murphy.

If you don't count Hanks' voice work (e.g., Toy Story), they're about even in lifetime gross, but Cruise has been more consistent of late.

But let's say I overstated it and he's the 2nd biggest movie star in the world behind Hanks. How does that indicate that Cruise is on his way to becoming a 2nd-class celebrity?
