"God" doesn't want me to clean the litter boxes anymore.. |
|
Edited on Thu Jun-16-05 05:43 PM by SoCalDem
Last week, as I was washing them (outside of course)...a BEE stung me on the neck (Ouchieeeee)..
Today, as I washed them again.. a godammned WASP, crawled UP MY PANT LEG AND STUNG ME ON MY CALF..
If I didn;t have so many cats, I think I would go to the disposable ones :(..
I hadn't been stung in over 30 years, and now ..twice in a week.. WTF :wtf:

1. I'd go with the message. |
|
Then again, I'm not a cat fan. Sorry!
Are you okay? I assume you aren't allergic. That would be bad.

They go inside it and launch the litter out the front door. I was thinking of getting one of those self cleaning boxes but I heard they suck.

7. SoCal, SoCal, make life easy on yourself: use heavy-duty garbage bags as |
|
box liners. We have 5 boxes (1 per cat) and the whole process takes me about 10 minutes. All I do is put the litter pan inside the plastic garbage bag, making sure to keep it flush against one of the corners at the bottom of the bag. Next, I put the pan and bag on the floor, smooth down the bag in the bottom of the pan, and fill the pan halfway with litter.
To clean it up each week, all I do is pull the underside of the bag (against the bottom of the pan) up and over the back of the pan, basically turning it inside out. I tighten the top and pitch it.
Granted, this isn't the most ecologically friendly way to do it, but it beats all that washing!

10. My babies have the sharpest claws on earth, and they DIG |
|
like they are going to center of the earth.. They would shred a bag..
The boys have LOUSY aim, and often hang their "business end" outside the box..
we have tried all kinds of boxes and litter..I have tried putting papers under the boxes..etc..
have even used the tall storage boxes instead of litter boxes, but we have a few older ones who cannot hop into the box...
bought the ones with the strainer thingie inside it, and they hook their claws into the mesh, and drag it to the surface..
My babies are compulsive "coverers", and will pretend on the tile surrounding the boxes..

some wasp repellant or killer. Sounds like they have it in for you. A person can become allergic to bees and the like even if they weren't before. The critters know that too. I'd try to make them move. Of course, cajoling and conning and begging won't work. Usually have to resort to something drastic. I have to admit, Lowe's did have this all natural thing that came in a bag and stunk to high heaven. You put water in it and hung the bag up. Bugs will go there instead of up your pants. Once trapped, you can move them, if you are of a mind, or just change the thing when it's full or something. That's up to you.
