This music appreciation course I'm taking has me interested in learning to play some kind of musical instrument.
Our professor is a concert pianist, and has me thinking of learning the piano?
Hard for a "senior citizen" to learn?
Was thinking of the oboe, but heard that was extremely hard.
Was interesting to learn Beethovens stuff was so hard even some pros couldn't play it.
take caretony and dietrich
should read pianists

I took lessons from a woman who taught towards a broad age-range of students and though there are some differences in the the way one learns because of age (compare piano to learning a foreign language: it's easier to master if you start young), you'll be fine. I think if you stick to it, like anything, practice practice practice, you'll feel so many benefits. Maybe it wont be your thing, and maybe it will, just take it with stride and enjoy that musical feeling. :hi:

You will never be sorry. I am a musician. It is never too late. Pick out what you want to learn and then do it. That is all it takes, lessons are helpful and you must practice and there you go. YAY for you.

I'm not very good at all, but it's always such a good time to sit down and struggle through something a few times. And to actually come close to playing something well is pure, elevating joy. I recommend it.
Good plan BentleyJD.
