Heavenly Father,


You are the God that does wonders; You have declared Your strength among Your people. May Your strength be present in the prayers of Your people this day, Lord.


By Your grace, please fill President Bush with Your divine guidance and direction, Father. Help him to always show his love for You by keeping Your commandments. No matter where his schedule leads him; no matter whom he encounters, we humbly ask that You would equip him with wisdom and the words that You want him to speak. Guard his steps that he may not fall into danger. Show him Your will in every situation he meets, every decision he must make. And as always, enable him to spend time in Your presence this day, in prayer and in the study of Your Word.


We come against the forces of evil that seek to overtake this nation, Father. We bind satan’s work in the abortion industry, and we say that the culture of life shall prevail. We come against satan’s work in the entertainment and media industries, and we say that the Lord’s purposes shall be fulfilled. We bind satan’s attempts to destroy our families through homosexuality, divorce, and through efforts to redefine marriage. We stand on Your ways and Your truths as shown us in the inerrant Word of God.


We commit our military men and women stationed in Iraq and we bind satan’s efforts to orchestrate insurrections against those who have freed the people from the hands of Saddam Hussein. Lord, may Your purposes prevail there, and may Your justice be meted out to the terrorists.

Mighty God, help each of us to do our part this day to help others know that You, whose name alone is Jehovah, are the most High over all the earth, and that You have given us eternal life through Your Son, Jesus Christ. We praise You, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In the name of Christ, our King, Amen.
