DOCTOR! Put the Lime in the Coconut!! Dean theme Song!!!

Dean has the Prescription for what is ailing us.

I would much rather have a Doctor running things than a career politician, a lawyer, a careerist soldier - a lifer, or a crooked oilman or corporate whore.

So I hereby now and forever propose that the Harry Nillson song "Put the Lime in the Coconut" is actually a PERFECT theme song for Dean's campaign.



FIRST, everybody over 35 knows it and should love it.

Second, the Baja men ("Who let the Dogs Out?") do a version of it so all of our kids can be plugged into it.

THIRD, the key refrain in the song is the desperate plea, wailed at a hyperpitched james Brownian shriek:

"DOCTOR!!! Is there nothing I can take?

"I said DOCTOR!!!? To Relieve this Bellyache???"

And the DOCTOR (in this case the proverbial Doctor Dean) says :

"Put the Lime in the Coconut and mix them both together. Put the Lime in the Coconut...THEN you'll feel better!"

DEAN MUST HAVE a PRESCRIPTION for what ails us.

It must be as creative and funky and pleasurable sounding and off the wall as putting the "Lime in the Coconut".

Sour with the sweet. Hot with the cool. Creamy with the tart.
