3. I spent 8 days in the Guanacaste Region (NW CR)
We stayed in the town of Tarmorindo.

Whatever you do, do not get an all-inclusive plan. There is so much to see, do and eat in CR you don't want to be confined to just the hotel. We stayed at the Hotel Tarmorindo Diria which included the most amazing continental breakfast. But the rest of the day we would find interesting places to get food!

5. Have a great time
I was there for a week on a yoga retreat and had a great time. I think this is the rainy season so make sure you have appropriate gear. The people are very nice and friendly.
One problem: I heard on the radio that there was an outbreak of dengue fever. You may want to look that up and see what precautions you may need to take.

6. Do you know Mary?
She's in my office and was also in Costa Rica for a yoga retreat about two months ago.

my best friend didn't listen, and ended up abandoning a room she had pre-paid for two weeks because they didn't see the sun for two weeks. so she went to the west coast and it was gorgeous weather.
USA today has a good search thing for avg temp and rainfall worldwide. use it!

9. I'm here in the Sarapiqui region, and it's pretty nice.
It's the rainy season, but it hasn't been raining much over here. You can pm me questions if you like, I've only been here for three weeks working on some research so I haven't been out to see the sights yet.

I'm pissed and hungry right now. I can't fucking leave the classroom because the dumbass with the went to lunch with it, and I'm the only one here. We've had some theft recently so if no one's here, we have to lock the door. I don't know when or if he's gonna be back so I have to wait until someone else comes. I don't know if they'll make it before lunch ends at 1 (it's almost 12:30 now). And to top it off, I didn't eat breakfast this morning. God, why did I let this dumbass leave without asking for the key. He did this yesterday, while no one was here, so we had to find someone with the master key to let us in the classroom and then guard it all day. I fucking have research too. God!!!

 Thanks for letting me vent. If I don't get lunch, I have to wait until six for dinner, and I'm going to be a bitch until then.

Edit: I'm feeling all happy now. Someone came, I got to eat lunch, and we have the key back. :woohoo:

14. That's okay, I got lunch, so I'm all happy
:bounce: Now I'm just watching my wasp videos and documenting behavior. Oh so exciting. This is how I get to spend the next 5 weeks.

Get to work, Sparky!! The sooner you start, the sooner you finish and can go home.

My father-in-law goes on a Costa Rican fishing trip every year and he brings back the most gorgeous photos. He loves it!
