Bizzare dream I had

I had a strange, incomprehensible dream a few nights ago, which I seem to remember very well, and I don't know why.

I was at this party and the year was 1975 (I was born in 1976). There were drugs everywhere, coke, heroin and marijuana smoke permeated the place. Many people were stoned. Cryptic rock and roll music was playing in the background. I can't remember any spoken words, but I can remember feeling very scared, like panicky, that I had to leave, to get out of this awful, horrible place. I felt relieved, but puzzled when I woke up.

I found this to be a strange dream because I have no history with drugs (save for a few youthful indiscretions with mary), nor does my family. I just can't figure out why I had this dream or what it means.

I rarely have dreams that are so vivid I can clearly remember them upon waking, but when I do they sure are doozies! However, almost never can I find any kind of correlation or symbolic tie-in between the dream I just had and anything going on in my life. 99% of the time it's just a whacked-out, vivid-as-life dream that makes me wonder but otherwise seems to mean absolutely nothing.

Don't know what yours may symbolize. Do you, by any chance, have any close friends or relatives that got into big trouble with drugs? Did you know anyone at all in that dream, or even think you did? Just a thought....
