Hasseled by the cops for the first time since high school last night!
Edited on Sat Nov-01-03 01:56 PM by HEyHEY
Ah, just in a parking lot with few buddies having a chat and what not....I guess cause it's halloween the officer saw reason to suspect 8 well-dress mid-20s guys hanging out in plain view under a street light talking. We musta looked like trouble.

He askd us to empty our pockets...haha. I could barley not laugh. Then he took whatever measley fireworks anyone had on them, gave us a lecture about hanging around in parking lots and left...

We were all sitting there thinking "Did that just happen?"

Any one else re-live their youth last night?

17. Grr, I hope not in the street!

I cleaned up pumpkin guts out on the street for 45 minutes this morning. They were frozen. 5 large pumpkins on our hilly street. People wouldn't see them coming around the corner, watched smeone hit the mess, bounce up into the door panel, braking and skidding - a real traffic hazard. Took about 50 pounds of broken, frozen, nasty ass pumpkins to the brush dump.

The little girl next door (4 years old, she was a ladybug last night, very cute) was heartbroken. That was the 2nd time her pumpkins were smashed.

I did a lot of nasty shit when I was kid, but nothing like smashing a little girl's pumpkin.

6. Heh. HeyHey Wanted by the RCMP!!
DU-regular HeyHey, is wanted by the Mounties on suspicion of felony loitering. If you have any information on his whereabouts, you should consider yourself his partner in crime and flea the jurisdiction forthwith.

Thank you and good day.

7. ah!
Felony loitering? that's some serious loitering isn't it?

"You're honour, the main point of this case is the DEGREE of loitering that the defendants indulged in. Witnesses say they were talking, smoking and generally doing nothing with no plans to leave in the near future. One witness says one of them even spat. Now I ask you the jury.... is this a simple case of accidentally meeting up with friends? No. It was an attempt to make that parking lot their own...they were attempting to unlawfully sieze public property. They're disgusting, I recomend death."

(we actaully call felonies indictable offences up here.) a mistemeaner is a summary convicttion.

a violation of the Fourth Amendment?

But then again, it's Ashcroft's America-- how silly of me!!

11. yeah
It is technicaly not allowed unless you give them permission here. But if you say no, they just arrest you under suspicion...which gives them the right to search you.

So unless you've got something to hide you mid-as well play along.

(If any Canadians out there know I'm wrong let us know, I can't quite rememer in detail the procedure for this)

18. I was driving around the city last night looking in my mirror for cops.
Edited on Sat Nov-01-03 06:53 PM by northwest
I felt REALLY paranoid last night. The news said that all 120 Fargo cops would be on duty on Halloween. My heart started racing whenever I saw a car that may have looked like a cop car behind me.
