actually play defense this time around? Or is the front of the net still a wide open area for any offensive play?
2002 was a better game than 2003.Hoping 2004 addresses these defensive problems.

11. Oh, they play real defense now |
|
It's kind of nice - you can actually stick with one player on not have keep switching to the guy nearest to the biscuit.
2004 is excellent - EA Sports got its ass in gear with this one.

6. Can you do the Winnipeg Jets on create-a-team, or are there vintage teams? |
|
My brother had ESPN NHL 2004, and you apparently can't do vintage teams.

10. Is Kerry Fraser one of the refs? |
|
Does he still ignore roughing/obstruction calls on the Avs?

But I always turn off the penalties when playing the Avs - much easier to cheap shot them that way :)

14. Fighting is great in this one |
|
Supposedly, one of the buttons (I have a Logitech Dual Action, the only way to go), if held down after some hitting, will start a fight, but they will start them on their own, like in 2002.
And the fighting is 1000X improved. No more just throw punches quick, you have to try and block and such. It's actually pretty hard.
