JENNA AND BARBARA,
Why aren't we pressuring this administration to have *'s daughter serve in Iraq? These hypocrites say that this war is worthwhile, so they put their daugthers where there mouth is. Let's beat the drums for Jenna and Barbara to serve in this "worthwhile" war.

11. Normally, I would agree.
However, this administration is big on symbolism, and Jenna and Barbara are big symbols. He thinks this war is important for other people's children to serve and die for it, then he should have his children do the same. When powerful men have to have their children, and not other people's children, clean up their mess, maybe they'll stop creating messes.

16. I understand where you are coming from
But Bush's daughters haven't done anything that would warrant making them do something against their will. You would be punishing more than just Bush if you were to force them to go to Iraq. As far as I know Bush may not really give a damn if his daughters were over in Iraq.

22. What would the Bush supporters be saying if someone
elses kids were acting like the way the Bush kids do? So my answer's the same "Put them in the Military." Teach them discipline! lol.

4. This whole "send their kids" thing...
While good in theory, what if the kids don't support the war? I mean, in all likelihood, Jenna and Barbara do support it, I don't know what their thoughts on the matter are. What if they don't?

6. They do support it
By campaigning for their dad for President, they support it implicitly.

7. Fair enough
But I was also speaking of the whole "send their kids" mentality in general.

8. Only send their kids if they support it
If, for example, President Bush's daughters had not campaigned for him and had not spoken out in support of the war, then they should not be sent. But they campaigned for him so they should go over there and fight in Iraq.

12. During the repub campaign, these
girls certainly didn't look as though they "didn't" support the war.

13. One more thing,
some of the men and women who are NOW serving with their ass on the line, don't support THIS war. Yet they have no choice; they're there.

17. "What if they don't?"
I'm sure lots of people serving don't support the war.

20. Of course
But they made the choice of joining the military.

I agree fully that anyone who supports the war and is capable of serving should get their ass over there. (Not that it would ever actually happen in most cases.)

5. As I've said over in a GD thread (and say all the time elsewhere)
The twins should be visiting wounded soldiers at Walter Reed & other veterans hospitals EVERY DAMN DAY. Their mother should too. And visit some bereaved families. We already know their father won't unless it's a staged foto op. Hey twins, why don't you do something to show your patriotism? And don't tell us about your "beautiful minds" ala Babs - WE KNOW BETTER.

Note: this is repetitive partly from my other post. I beat this drum a lot...

9. even the British Royal children helped in the war effort

rincess Elizabeth in ATS uniform in 1945. The Princess joined the war effort at the age of 18 and was based at barracks in Aldershot. At the start of the war she and Princess Margaret were based at Windsor Castle while the king and queen continued to work at Buckingham Palace

14. Excellent idea.
They should be doing just that - every day. Support your father's war? Allegedly support the troops? Then prove it, ladies.

10. I can't get behind this because
I assume they'd be auto-enrolled in OCS, get their 2nd lieuey bar and not be forced to serve as enlisted soldiers (i.e. buck privates). The thought of them 'leading' other honest, patriotic and hard-working troops kinda puts a pit in my stomach. * has f*cked this war up enough and he's killed enough people. We don't need anyone else from that stain of a family to make decisions that could lead to even more death.

If they were forced to enlist, though, I would support this one vigorously.
