How big is heaven? And other queer ramblings... |
|
When people die, they go to heaven.
Our population continues to grow. Not shrink.
I reckon heaven is finite and it will run out of space for all of the souls lucky enough to be there.
What do people do in heaven?
Heaven is heliotrope.
The Bible says homosexuals shall not inherit the Kingdom of God. Well, I doubt I could make things worse than those who apparently WILL claim the Kingdom of God... On the other hand, I wouldn't want to be held responsible should God give it to me and He comes back to see what I've done with His creation... Indeed, "inherit the Kingdom..." sounds like God's going to snuff it and He needs to give the whole of Creation to somebody.
If God made Man in His own image, does that mean that God looks like Rush Limbaugh? :scared: But if image also equates to how we act, God would then be less than perfect. Indeed, there's no way He CAN be perfect because He created such imperfection. Odd how that works out though...
Why do people assume God is a Man? As we have Mother Nature and women create and nurture life, why isn't God female? And why hasn't Humanity adopted the nurturing aspect of the female, but instead turn to the childish warlike way of the male? If the feminine influence were embraced rather than scorned (e.g. "effeminite men" or when the novelty of the ridiculous "metrosexual" concept fad wears off, and it will...), we'd be a far more peaceful people. Thank you, creators of religion - you're dumb by telling people to do all the WRONG things.
Do all warmongers, gun owners, big mansion owners, slave owners, CEOs, et cetera, have small penises and compensate by doing all their nasty things and massaging their egos with their big mansions and stuff? They said most of that on "Family Guy" and that made me think...

1. Bible says homosexuals shall not inherit the Kingdom of God ???? |
|
where does Jesus say this?
Paul has a lot of things to say about just about everything - most of which one appreciates for his efforts, and notes that it is not the word of God (the decision in the 1850's by the POPE to demand folks take his interpretations as the word of God was a way to get the Mary went to heaven pure thing into Church Dogma - nothing more - and I do not buy into the ability of a man to declare himself as speaking for God - in all the details - can not not be challenged by any other Christian - about anything he chooses. The Pope is a Bishop, and the leader of the Church - and that 1850 moment does not define humble servant of God for a guy whose role until then was Bishop with a lot of administrative duties).
In any case, last I looked the words translated in the old testament for "do not do homosexual activity" are the same construction used for "do not eat pigs" - and Jesus said that as a Christian we are not bound by the literal interpretation - by any person - of the old testament rules - but rather we are left to view those rules - which are still "valid" - through the contruct of (1)Love thy God and (2) Love thy neighbor - everything in the over 600 "rules" are summed up by the above 2 rules.

2. The Bible speaks of heaven AND the Kingdom... |
|
so, is the Kingdom of God NOT heaven? Perhaps Earth is the Kingdom of God? Or the moon or (I've always wanted to say this!, Uranus is the Kingdom of God? The meek will inherit the earth, right? If the meek are Gay, is the offer rescinded? Would that make God an "indian-giver?" All this worry about homer-sexuals, shouldn't we leave the judgement to God? That is his department anyway isn't it? "Judge not lest you be judged?"
