Ohio Dem, Sasquatch
...since the OSU/PSU thread has been hijacked by a generous grant from the Kleenex Corporation, I needed to make a point.

IF the following happens......

Ohio State beats Michigan State
Ohio State beats Purdue
Ohio State beats Michigan
Virginia Tech beats Miami tonight
Washington State beats USC tonight

I think it will put Ohio State in the Sugar Bowl. (where it appears as if they'll *gulp* have to play *gulp* Oklahoma).

In the BCS standings Monday, we will be placed at 3rd most likely (if USC/Mimai losses), and with FSU playing a substandard schedule while we will have an overall rough schedule, I'd have to think we'll eventually rise above them.

OSU will have beat 3 more ranked teams by that time, remember. Having teams like Iowa, Bowling Green, and Michigan go unbeaten (except the Blue's loss to us) will REALLY help too.

My numbers at least...and I had a pretty good record at picking the BCS standings last year too.

But I could be wrong and there are a LOT of ifs and buts between now and then.

2. OSU will get the shit knocked out of them by Michigan and Michigan State.
IMO, it will be Miami and Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl. And it'll be a great game.

5. I predict a Oklahoma/USC Sugar Bowl
I think Virginia Tech will beat Miami but of course it is very possible for Miami to beat Virginia Tech.

8. I watched that game
The LT Qb made that touchdown pass on the last play of the game, that was exciting. I always root for the underdogs in football game unless of course it is my team that is the favorite.

3. I concur. Those are some big if's, though.
It's a rough road, but if OSU pulls off three more wins (even ones like tonight's), and VT beats Miami, and USC loses to WSU, OSU is tasting the Sugar.

Lots of ands there, aren't there?

6. Big ifs
..but if those 5 games go outr way, I feel good about the chances.

Of course, I can't say I'd feel good about the 6th game...OSU vs. OU. Yipes.

4. They will be in the Sugar Bowl if the following happens

USC is too tough and I don't think Washington State will win but I think UCLA has a better chance. What everyone keeps missing UCLA is 4-1 in PAC-10 play and if USC/WSU wins they will be tied in 1st place in the PAC-10, UCLA has a much better defense then Washington State and a good defense is what it takes to stop USC. But of course Ohio State will lose to Michigan. :)

10. Hmm.
No way does UCLA beat WSU at Pullman. I think they only beat Oregon from here on out. That'll be 3 loses.

I still think USC will pull away with this one tonight.

(helluva lotta punt snap safeties the past week!)

11. I said I think UCLA has a better chance of beating USC then WSU
I think they can beat Washington State but it could go either way. But if I were forced to pick someone to win I would pick UCLA to win, their defense is really tough and they started starting their true freshman running back is having great season at the RB position averaging 5.8 yards per carry. USC will beat Washington State by at least 10 points, but I forgot OSU! D'uh! Oregon State has the best chance to knock of USC, I though for sure Oregon State was going to beat Washington State last week.

You've got to remember these are the Tressel coached Buckeyes not the Cooper coached Buckeyes so they can beat Michigan.

"Yeah, Michigan's my bitch and Carr knows that"
